btw bluonyx have you thought about maybe using one of these ( http://www.maxamps.com/proddetail.ph...74-Pack&cat=12 ) rather than that HUGE 4000 battery, you said in 40 minutes it only used 2000mah and that max amps 2100 is smaller and lighter than the stock 3 cell and is prolly alot lighter than that 4000. Plus there not too expensive at only 40 bucks.

I am liking what i'm reading, i heard a lot of bad things about the Nitro based cars on this design (internet rc vulcan and next and another, i think VTX thing not sure of manufacturer) but the electric offerings seem to be nice. Get an 1107 2y (3400kv)/quark 33 and a 3s and see how it runs

Work because i gotta, play because i wanna

People here hate Nitro, I love it. I start it, run it about 50 ft from me and it dies, I go after it. Perfect exercise

any updates or videos of it, im wanting to get another mini and im just gonna keep my mlst2 so ill have two trucks to run on my track (when the gf comes over she always hogs my mlst2).

so if this thing with a little bit of rebuilding and checking, and from what i understand a different spur gear , and then a 2s lipo would be a solid truck i will get it, if not i might go ahead and get a vendetta ST.

Nothing new lately. I did notice that the chassis looked bent in the rear when I took the motor out but I can't tell if it was like that, or if the crash was really that hard. It was probably that hard. Anyways I ordered a new one just in case it's cheap enough, and I also got my new motor the day after Xmas. I haven't really been in the garage that much becuase I came down with the sinus head cold thing that's going around. But I'll LYK.

so with how much you have used it do you think it would hold up to 2s use around a 18th scale track? Last thing i need is another problem child of a mini truck.

It should have no problems holding up to 2S use around a 18th scale track. Even with the bent shock tower chicken crash I didn't even notice it till after all the bashing. It still drove a straight line.

It does come with a 3S and the factory had the punch control set at 0%. I set it for a 2S and 50% punch and it was still squirly for me! I did everything I do with my LST and Maxx and it held up fine. Tough little truck.

I don't know but I'll check the can when I get home to see if it says anything. It definitely looks a lot smaller than the motor in this pic though. Even the motor mount, lipo and antenna mount position is different. This pic must be the prototype. The ebay motor I got mounts perfectly though, thank goodness.

i just noticed your pics and those pics were different, your productin setup looks better imo. I guess i can go ahead and order one, it can be my birthday present to myself and ill have my gf get me that 2100 2s from maxamps for my birthday.

Do i need a different castle link or will the one from my mamba max work? Besure and post a pic of how good the mlst body fits.... i have 3 of them laying around to try but im sure youll get your body before i get the truck.

You will need a castle link. Th cable that comes with the MM is just a USB cable. MM has the castle link built in. The M25 does not.

Do you have a clue if the Maxamps 2S 6000 mAh lipos can be squeezed in there ?
Asuming you have Maxamps 2S 4000 mAh packs the dimensions are
44mm X 137mm X 14mm and the 6000 mAh ones are 44mm X 137mm X 22mm
Will the extra 8 mm cause a problem ?
(I am not looking for runtime but I already have two 6000 mAh packs)

The 6000 will fit with the adapter I made but it's too heavy. I think it's already to heavy with the 4000, using a 6000 will make it a brick with wheels.

The Ebay motor I ordered is too much also. It's rated at 8750kv and coggs like crazy, and a 10 minute run made the can run really hot. I'm going back to the stock motor anyone here need a 8750kv 280 motor?

That motor seems to be a 180 (20mm diameter), the 280s are 24mm.
