We have beat on it pretty good in many setups. Time will tell, but we think we have done all we can to be ready.

Should work fine with any motor including the Neu, CC and Losi motors and all the sensored 1/10 scale long can motors.

We have not done any testing with outrunners. The system does work fine with multi pole motors. We have tested with up to 8 pole motors.

We are going testing tommorrow to get ready for the RCpro series Cabin Fever Race that has a 1/8 buggy class. We set up another new buggy today to add to our test fleet.

Align 600XL and 650L are outrunners first of all and Jim stated he didn't test the ESC with outrunners yet. Also, from what I've been told by Align the 500L, 600L, 600XL and 650L are all 6 pole. To my Knowledge so far I've only seen 2 8 pole inrunners. Neu 17 and 19 series, Plettenberg can make them as well as a 10 pole (Bolido or the 370 line of motors) and there's a guy in Germany (Not surprised here lol) that has made a 8 pole and a 16 pole inrunner (I have pictures of them somewhere, but I can't find it).

thanks for the update. I look forward to putting one of these in my 8th scale. Already put the system on back order. Now just make sure Murphy doesn't break anything else on you, before I get a system. :)

We have no problem with the HV motors. We are not so sure they can drive our motors due to the much lower winds.

12 pole 18 slot inrunner. It is a EDF jet motor we found just to see how we handled the high pole count designs. The rotor exploded and was not up to the load, but until then we seemed to drive it just fine.

Any links of it? I haven't seen or heard of a 12 pole 18 slot inrunner.

Edit: A lot of the traditional slotted inrunners goes like this: 2 pole 6 slots, 4 pole 12 slots, 6 pole 18 slots, 8 pole 24 slots and the 12 pole should have 36 slots.

I was incorrect about the motor. It does have 12 magnets, but they are in pairs so it is a 6 pole 18 slot motor. It tricked us briefly when we found it also until we had it on the scope. It appears I forgot since it has been on the shelf for some time and I just glanced at it. So we have only tested to a 6pole motor.

You are correct that typical motor designs are multiples, but any combination can be made including odd ones like
4pole 6 slot
4 pole 21 slot
6 pole 9 slot
6 pole 27 slot
8 pole 9slot
8 pole 33slot
10 pole 9 slot
10 pole 15slot
12 pole 18slot
12pole 27slot
14pole 15slot

Imbalanced winds, high or low pole count and high or low slot counts all have specific advantages and disadvantages for particular applications. We think the 4pole 12 slot design is the best over all for 1/8 scale. I am sure it will work with well with almost anything, but we are focused on what works the best and we can control.

In this case we really want people to use the Tekin motor with the Tekin controller to get the full benefits of the system and max performance and reliability.

I would've loved to see a 12 pole inrunner, would be a torque monster. Yes, 4 pole has been the choice specially for me since I've have a few Aveox esc and motors. I have actually made my old Aveox RC7 work with a sensored ESC I have here and it's just a step above to the current 2 pole 540 motors. I hope to see pictures of the final products soon.
