Very nice truck! My question is about the spur though. I once mocked up a layout like yours with the center diff, and concluded I'd need a 42t spur to not have it protrude through the chassis on a CRT. Yours appears custom, did you have it made? What tooth count? Are you able to get acceptable ratios?
the spur is a standard kyosho 44t. I made the diff mounts so I was able to make it whatever height i wanted, I milled a small recess in the chassis but didnt go all the way through as i think it just lets dirt in, I just wanted the gear to sit as low as possible. Thne I put a plate under the rear gearbox to bring it inline with the centre unit.
im playing with shock oil at the mo, just to get it to a nice setup, might test again today. My rear axles are a bit shot, did I read right that hpi hellfire cvds fit?

If I'm not mistaken, the are a different length. I know some people have gone to the Hellfire suspension setup and that requires the Hellfire axles. Not sure on that though. Best bet is to get the LST CVD bones (~$25 for all 4 I think), LST CVD rebuild kit x2, and I believe Sportworks Mayhem stub axles. That leaves you with 8mm axles all around as well as CVDs all around instead of dog bones in the rear, and allows you to run 17mm hubs. Pretty much any buggy hub will work as long as the cross pin is 2.5mm I believe. CRT is 2.0mm if I remember correctly, so thats one of the few that isn't gonna be ideal (Learned that the hard way).
Beautiful truck CM, you could lose about 1/3 of the weight of the batteries with lipo's (more mah as well) but i won't push. I am glad the motor works good
Work because i gotta, play because i wanna
People here hate Nitro, I love it. I start it, run it about 50 ft from me and it dies, I go after it. Perfect exercise
Ok then, I found some HB LSP cvds so i'll order them. I'll leave the rest of it alone, its all pretty beefy and its not like im racing or gonna be giving in a hard time, its got 17mm hubs already, so thats the main thing.
quite proud of this! I'll get some shots on the truck later, its still a bit wet at the moment.
