Aha! I found the secret page on the Speed Calculator website! Yeah!

Found it by accident.. My mouse hit the keyboard and clicked when I moved it over to the left and I found the weird page. The tire size page...

Could you add shock/diff oil conversions to it? I have no idea what CST is and it seems that's what everything is measured in now.

All I ever wanted was an honest weeks pay for an honest days work.

I'm not sure either. And I don't know what CST is either. Give me some data and I'll see what I can do. But, from previous conversations, diff oil viscosities can vary from manufacturer to manufacturer for the same labeled weight, so not sure how much value it will have...

Added another page, but not sure if it has any value. Try it out, and if it is too confusing, I'll remove it.

That's handy for me

I don't have anything that will measure batttery resistance but I can work it out with this calculator.

Wow, its gettin better and better BrianG

But how does LESS gearing (on BL parameter comparison) result in LESS heat components (thinking of the motor) ?

I have a few suggestions to add. (up to you man )

HPI E-firestorm:
spur 48p: 87t,
tranny:
top drive gear 48p: 20t
idler gear 48p: 28t
diff gear 48p: 52t (diff ratio 1/1)

transmission gear ratio:
(28t/20t) x (52t/28t)
1,4 x 1,86 = 2,6

HPI Savage Flux bulletproof diffs:
29t/9t = 3.222..

------------------
Traxxas Velineon motor

TRA3371: 380 size
Can Length: 48.15mm (1.9")
Can Diameter: 28mm (1.1")
Shaft Length: 12.7mm (0.50")
Shaft Diameter: 3.15mm (0.12")
KV: 4000 (8-turn)
Current: 25A constant/ 50A burst
Max RPM: 50,000
Weight: 140g (4.94oz)
---------------------
Traxxas Velineon motor
TRA3355: 540 size
Type: Sensorless brushless
RPM/volt: 3500KV (10-turn)
Magnet type: Ultra High-Temperature, sintered neodymium
Connection type: TRX 3.5mm bullet connectors
Wire Size: 12-gauge Maxx Cable w/ solder tabs
Current Ratings: 65A constant; 100A peak/burst
Max RPM: 50,000
Diameter: 1.42" (36mm) (540 size)
Length: 2.165"(55mm)
Weight: 9.24oz (262g)
---
Hobbywing 2350KV, 36x74mm, 2-pole, 363g, Resistance: ?, Current: ?, Watts: ?
Hobbywing 2300KV, 36x65mm, 2-pole, 305g, Resistance: ?, Current: ?, Watts: ?
Hobbywing 2000KV, 44x65mm, 2-pole, 455g, Resistance: ?, Current: ?, Watts: ?

If anyone know the details on above motors, its great.

Losi XXL gearing:

the output gears in the xxl tranmisssion have a 29/16 ratio
2nd gear xxl foc: 22/23*29/16 = 1,894886364
2nd gear xxl foc & swap mod: 23/22*29/16 = 1,733695652

so swapping to xxl output gears in the lst2/afershock tranny(1,89) gives almost the same reduction as the gear swap mod in the lst2 tranny(1,91)

Brian,
I see you've added these, but in the wrong order. The 'XXL 2nd gear FOC' has the 'XXL 2nd gear FOC swap mod' ratios and vv.

Update:

- Added the Amp draw vs speed calculator originally in spreadsheet form created by b4maz (Nick Maslowski).

- Added Traxxas VXL and HobbyWing motors.

- Added E-Firestorm gears and Savage bulletproof diff gears.

Thanks for all your hard work Brian. I didn't realize the new HPI diffs had different ratios. Looks like it's time for another paypal donation, even if it does go for diapers.

Incase some of the new members don't know or the old veterans forgot. You can donate a couple $ to our BrianG for all his hard work and time he puts into the web page. He does it on his own time and dime for us. I'd be broke if I gave him one dollar for everytime I used it but I am grateful for the site and all his time spent on it. So I try to keep him happy now and then and add to the kitty. Just click on the PAYPAL donate link on the bottom of any of the pages to show your appreciation.

Thanks again Brian.

Thanks for the poke, Gee. I feel guilty for not knowing that was all voluntary work.
Donation made.

lol, I don't want anyone to feel obligated to donate. But if you have a few extra coins burning a hole in your pocket, well....

BTW: I just checked my email and noticed some VERY gnenerous donations! Thank you VERY much! It is appreciated!
