That is good to know. I have never heard of Unlimited Engineering until now. Their diffs are $100 a piece which I can afford (barely!) and judging from their website, get what you pay for, but am still new and learning.

I just finished a Losi 8ight brushless conversion and need something for on-road.

How about a link: http://www3.towerhobbies.com/cgi-bin/wti0001p?&I=LXBZN2

It only comes with what is pictured; no bearings or drive cups. The one I got was even missing the 5mm set screw. I hope it was simply missed, because it makes no sense to have it without the screw. It uses the same cups and bearings that the 2 speed uses though...

Progress report DM-1 Spec - 12.13.2008, 10:16 PM

Well, I worked on it most of the day and this is how far I got. I swapped the 2-speed for a center diff and swapped the stock diffs for spiders.

Hopefully the motor will be here Monday.

Man that thing is a beauty--if I have not said that already. Are you using RCPD motor mount? I like how they suspend the ESC. Will that battery tray fit a 4S?

I have ordered a few things for mine but have to wait to X-Mas to start the build .

Thanks. I used RC-Monster Mike's Jammin CR X-1 buggy mount and RC Product Designs' Losi 8 diff top plate (required some dremel/drilling to get it to fit), and a RC Product Designs Losi 8 battery tray. The battery tray will fit up to 6S flight power/thunder power packs. Got a Castle Neu 2200kv motor on the way.

That is a rc-monster motor mount. And that battery tray will definitely fit a 4s pack with ease.

Awesome build! Looks really clean. What motor do you plan to run in it? What voltage?

Ooooo thats pretty....

I think you need to strip that servo top plate to match and round the edges, add a couple of zip tires and you are all set...

PS you may want to look at a gyro... ;-) (real men cheat)

I would love to see the video of this thing move! The snow is here to stay with us in CO for a while but hope to have mine built soon and wait for Spring or the parking lots to finally be cleared!
