Tried to race with 1.28 tonight and it was a no go. I will wait the two weeks for the new firmware. Does look very interesting though.

I've been off flying airplanes/helis for the past year so I've been out of it for a while, but I've got 3 MMM. Are you guys looking for anymore feedback on this beta release? or are the comments pretty much in? I had put my 1/8 buggy conversion away a year ago because the MMM and feigao 10L combo kept breaking the hardended steel shafts and the gears in the diffs. This feature sounds like what I have been looking for.

Need a better buggy... But this torque control should help smooth out the power on acceleration.

RD Logics SHO buggy. Maybe I do need another buggy. But this will definetly help. The 10L broke in half one of these.

Not at the joint, but snapped it at the center of the shaft. I know the gears in the diff were stripped too at a certain point.
I'm with you guys on the 10L, but it lights up all 4 tires. I was thinking about the Castle 2200 for a while, but that would have just been overkill.

No offense, but I've never been impressed with RD Logics quality. I associated them Integy and the like...

No offense taken and I appreciate the truth. I thought it was a bit odd a 10L taking out a CVD like that especially when my Castle 2200 puts out way more torque on my 3905 emaxx and I havent broken anything yet. I'm pretty sure the steel gears in the diffs were taken out too and thats just crazy. I think I'm going to try the torque control and see if I can keep it together. If not, I'm going to strip it down and sell it off as parts.

Can you add the update to the HPI's BLUR rebrand? Newest it founds is 1.21(beta) and I already have that. (CastleLink 3.255)

At this time, the new updates are not available for the OEM HPI controllers. My understanding of how it works is HPI has to approve any new software before they allow it for their controllers. The latest version they have approved is 1.21, so right now it's the highest you can go to on their controllers. v1.21 is a very stable firmware version, it just doesn't get all of the new features of v1.28. Until they give us the okay, there's not much that can be done.

Is there anybody who is having success with the new firmware? If so, what are your settings?

Just had a thought, what about an option to lower or even adjust the auto temperature sensor for the fan? Nothing wrong with keeping the MMM cooler. Unlike Brian, I love fans!

I love the update! I desperately needed the Max Power % adjustment for the racing I do. I've been using an odd throttle curve and just turning down the throttle EPA on my transmitter to get the correct power that I needed. We normally race brushed motors with a 4 cell battery setup (AAs to be exact ) and the track is specifically designed to race M18s and Micro RS4s with this power setup which gives us a full hour and a half of run time. I'm trying to bring the M18s that we race a bit more up to date with brushless and li-po but we need to maintain the same speed we had before. 40% throttle seems to match our older setup perfectly. I might find some use for the torque limiter too. If not on my M18 it will definitely help on my rc motorcycle!

I can't seem to figure out how to perform the motor test for my KV rating on my sidewinder speed control. I put it in test mode, update the ESC, run the motor with the red and green lights on but when I plug the castle link back in theres no information there. Can anyone tell me what I'm doing wrong?

There is one other problem that I've been having even before this update and the throttle limit has exaggerated it. It might have something to do with my transmitter (Futaba 3PM) so I'm going to try a different transmitter tonight after racing before I explain it.

Oh yeah and here is why I need to limit the throttle. Track is 35ft x 12ft and the surface is simply wall paint. Track width is 22in infield and 28in wide around the edges. We race anywhere between 5 to 9 cars at a time and most of us are very good drivers for super close racing that you just can't get with fast cars on a large track.

Yup. I don't want to hi-jack this thread so heres our video page. http://www.harnoishobby.com/videos.html All of the videos are at least 2 years old and most of the video is on-board. We've made the cars easier to drive and have become better drivers since the latest video you'll find. Oh yeah we converted our cars to open wheel too.

Updated to V3.26 and noticed that it doesn't tell you what the motor Kv is anymore. It just says that motor data has been acquired. What gives?
