Traxxas Mini Revo, thoughts/opinions - 10.19.2008, 01:12 AM

Ok well instead of it being so spread out lets gather what every thinks here. From what others said it should retail about $250 and comes stock with brushless. only problem i see right off the bat is the mini sevo......youd think they would have thrown a standard size servo in there to get that kinda problem out of the way.... oh well maybe the Hitec 225mg will fit its a fairly large mini servo but its solid.

we are gonna assume the diffs and drive train are solid since they said itll run 40 on 3s and comes stock with brushless......i would guess they tested it just as they did the revo and new emaxx's.

so what else you got? please if you have pics from Ihobby of them post them.

Not sure I get the twin batteries on a mini... I get it on the full size revo letting you run 2s or 3s packs for a 4 s aor 6s combo, but onthe mini you have to run parallel packs unless someone gets crazy and sets up a 4s mini.

Other than that it looks pretty cool. I'll say that it will go on the short list and may look at getting one, but I want to see it in real life first.

I can't decide if its more fun
to make it...
or break it...

Yeah do parallel, so it has some decent run time. Not 15 min kind of run time

I think I'll give one a try. They look pretty darn cool. Where does it say it's BL and the price?

You read my mind , I'm half hoping it has a dual pattern motorplate (like the E-revo) with a 540 pattern. I have a lehner basic XL1200/quark 80/5s combo i want to try.

Work because i gotta, play because i wanna

People here hate Nitro, I love it. I start it, run it about 50 ft from me and it dies, I go after it. Perfect exercise

I am pretty sure I will be getting one. Its either the mini e-revo or the mini slayer. Really both look to be the same car. :)

I told the misses about it already. Will just have to pass it off that its for my son.

make sure you get it and set it up with the fastest batteries right away. then you can tell her well, i think this ones too fast. maybe we should get that slayer for him and i'll just keep this one.

What brushless system does it come stock with? Does anyone know the battery box dimensions?

Supposed to be Traxxas' new mini brushless system.

I like the idea for one and hope it holds up. The speed for a mini of 40 is fine with me as long as the drive train can handle it. If it's as good as the new e-maxx/e-revo drive train all should be well and good. I think if the street price is 250 that they will sell like hotcakes!

I will have to get one of these as well. I wonder if it comes with the new Traxxas 2.4ghz radio system... Interesting ideas so far. I am definitely looking forward to seeing it in person.
