How to Identify - 01.26.2010, 10:50 PM

OK, I recently aquired a brand new Tekin T8 2000kv motor purchased without a box or paper work. The person I bought it from is very reputable so the motor is on the up and up.
My question is; With all I've read about the rotors failing I was wondering if I can somehow identify wether what I have is a older version and if I can send it in for a updated part just to hopefully avoid any complications ???

Thank You

The latest version has an aluinum cap on the pinion side. The original one does not have this large cap.

The rotor. Take the end bell off and see if there's an aluminum part that Randy mentioned there.

DOH ! I understand now, Thank you.

If it's the older version can it be sent in for replacement, or must I wait for a possible failure ?

When mine came loose, i used 2 part epoxy to reattach it and used it in a different motor.

I don't personally ship them out. I did however place the request for the rotor to be shipped. They're shipped first class so it can take up to a week or so.

Hi again,

It's ben a month and haven't heard or seen anything yet. I have also sent a email to Tekin Customer support approx 10 days ago asking about status and have yet to receive a return email. Can you provide me with a update please ?

Thanks,
Jeff
