8mm revo drive shaft coupler - 05.24.2010, 07:20 AM

what is the difference between the v2 and v3 edition revo aluminum driveshaft couplers that rc-m sells? i need the 8mm ones but they have been out of stock for awhile. is the v3 8mm also

any help would be appreciated

I believe the V3 is smaller. 5-6mm maybe?

Yes, the V3 is 6mm bore.

The V3 pinion is 8mm turned down to 5mm bore, actually. The couplers are opposite to match of course(8mm partially through and 5mm partially through). the set screw location is different as well. I drill and ream the original V3 version couplers to 8mm all the way through, then drill and tap another set screw hole for the 8mm version(bit of a PITA).

Thought the V1's were the 5mm ones, figured the later versions were to allow the full sized shaft to work
