Replace it. You may be able to solder it so it is workable, but the heat so near the device may not be good.

can you show me a cap that will work?
Im good with the SMT stuff i do work soldering on phones all the time
It still works even with the cap disconnected it just cuts out

Hi,

The critical numbers that you have to look for are:

105C - this is the maximum operating temperature - also points toward the fact that it is low esr.

50v - maximum operating voltage

390uf - universal farad number or capacity. This number can be larger but not smaller.

Looks like you need to match the diameter also, length doesn't matter.

I would Ebay it.

you might be able to find it at radio shack or another local electronics store. Go take a looksee.

You won't find caps rated for 105*C at RS, only 85*C, and those are not sufficient....

I ordered my caps from digikey, they have a funky checkout system....but I found them to be the cheapest after shipping was factored in for buying single caps and what not....

Here is the search screen on their site, http://search.digikey.com/scripts/DkSearch/dksus.dll

I tried linking you to a search I already did, but it didn't work...pretty easy search options though. Each cap should be under a buck.
