Four Torke 4-pole brushless motors



Team Torke release the new Four Torke 4-pole sensorless brushless motors for 1/8 scale buggies, truggies and monster trucks. The 6840-6 and 6040-4 motors are 6S/1780kv and 4S/2600kv variants and sport a diameter of 41.8mm respectively with a length of 68mm. The larger 7540-6 is a 75mm long motor, again with 41.8mm diameter, but 2220kv rating and designed for up to 6S input.

I know Castle has enough issues with Leopard making false claims about being affiliated with them ( since their motors are very similar looking ), but these are 100% identical in appearance except for colour and the sticker. Torke haven't made any claims, but tongues are wagging everywhere else, if you get my drift.

Does anyone from Castle have any info or thoughts?...

They were only announced today ( literally ), hence why I was enquiring about them myself- pricing and quality is yet to be determined.

@Jony- I know, I don't hang around Can't say I'm overly impressed with the shiz that Nick is saying over at modelsport though, you can't make such daring statements and refuse to back them up with any kind of proof...

I'll be honest, The reason castle lost some cred is due to the people like you. Don't take it badly, but the hurry up and make it, rush rush rush, I want it now idea of society now a days forced castle to sort of use you guys as sort of beta testers. I will never curse, blame or bad mouth a company due to Supposed bad service unless i got proof, they are blowing me off. Castle has done more for our hobby than the problems you and others have experienced. Sorry if this is seen as abrasive, I'm tired of the castle bashing over something you didn't have to buy in the first place. I'm done and off my soapbox

Castle motors made in China, lets not forget that? Good thing the ESCs are made in the US though. Want to support a US made motor, buy a Neu.

neu motors are wound in Mexico IIRC...

Castle motors are manufactured abroad but the engineering and profits come stateside...

If Neu Motors gets busy, yes they can also be wound in Mexico, but most of the motor assemble from what I know gets done here in the USA.

That's the problem most don't understand. So jobs in the US gets lost for profit, gotcha. People don't understand it makes $$$$ business sense for the owner of a company to go where wagers are far less. Good thing the ESCs are still mostly made here in the US though.

There's also nothing wrong about buying something made else where, haven't you bought things from China as well.

I have and do - I do think that the decline of the UK and USA has a lot to do with short term gain of outsourcing to the up and coming ecomonies.

I also think the IPR is important and should be respected.

I know you put a lot of time into ESC's and software - If you spend all that time and a company ripped off your design and built a poor version of the product which harmed your reputation I'm sure you'd be upset.

Then a few should not really blame China, but blame the company owners here and UK for sending the jobs to China and other low wages countries.

You are actually telling this to a guy who has actually helped Hobbywing with ideas for their car ESCs and later the LCD program card/usb combo. Am I upset, a little, but I know people are enjoying them. The LCD/usb programmer idea was actually posted here first for Castle to use, but they didn't. Now how do you think myself and Hobbyking feel for the ESCs that have the dual sensored/sensorless drive?

I'll bet you if the US (maybe other developed countries too) gets their way and the developing countries pay their workers more and also have them add some value to their currencies, I guess manufacturing will stop there and come home so only the ones with money can afford a hobby.

I know for patriotic Americans such as yourselves, China is an easy target at times, but from an outsider perspective, the USA has given us Maxamps and the MMMXL recall.

Yet my $25 EZ-Run 35A speedy just won't die!

...sorry I want to like Castle again, I really do....... I hope my XL2 doesn't die and my back up Ver2 returned after recall gets here soon just in case.
