56" Viper Apache- twin outboard - 06.02.2012, 10:02 AM

I picked up a 56" Apache tonight for only $150 delivered, when I saw the sales thread I figured I'd be able to run a single or twin 1717 but am now thinking I might put a single 1717 on a DF41 I have to gain experience before jumping into the build. I'm thinking a twin lepard 4082 turning x447/3's or x450/3's, it'll push it fast enough for me as it'll only be a fun boat(show-cheap). These outboard legs http://www.offshoreelectrics.com/pro...ullet-outboard
the hull pic is the seller's and the outboard is a pro boat leg with a 1717 1580kv motor.

I've been trying to work out the best power system for the system and after a lot of thought I had decided on two set ups, 2x Neu 1527 1.5y 850kv motors to run on 8s/10s or a gasser. I was starting to think this hull will need a bigger prop than can fit on an outboard leg so to put an end to the thought process, I've purchased a rcmk s-520 evo g-2 twin cylinder gasoline engine http://www.google.com.au/url?sa=t&rc...x-XDjh_dMvV0mw that should do the job nicely. I'll update when I get the engine.
