Weird problems HPI flux Blur ESC (MM2) - 11.04.2015, 05:30 AM

I've got a really weird problem with my new HPI Blur ESC. Technically it's a Mamba Monster 2, so I thought lets post it here. I recieved the new combo last wednesday, and it worked very well untill last sunday. I was driving normally and suddenly I didn't get any response on the throttle. I removed the body and saw that the lights on the ESC were blinking correctly when I pushed the throttle, but the motor (flux Tork) wasn't responding. Since the lights were blinking like they have to and the steering was still working I think the problem is anywhere between the ESC and the motor. I contacted the guy who sold it to me, but he said he can't help me because I soldered new connectors to it and voided the warranty with that.

The strange thing is that the ESC is working sometimes. Yesterday I've droven a half battery with it without any problems. Is it just a bullet connector that isn't soldered properly to the ESC? Any suggestions?

I'm driving the car (HPI Trophy truggy) on 4S lipo (2x 2S). I have 2 sets of batterys and the problem appears on both sets. The combo never really got warm. When the problem appears and I turn the ESC off and back on again the motor doesn't do the beeps and the little jingle, but the ESC's led says it does.

For the jingle the ESC needs contact with the motor.
How are the bullets on the motor?
If you can solder you can try to solder them again?

I know, thats why I think the problem is somewhere between the ESC and the motor. The bullets on the motor look just fine. I think the ESC is the problem, but I don't have a spare Mamba Monster to test it. Does someone have an idea to determine if it's the ESC or the motor that's malfunctioning?

I think I'm going to open the ESC up and check the soldering on the bullets.

I didn't get any answers that might solve the problem and the problem was getting worse, so today I decided to take the ESC apart. When I opened the casing I saw a block of something like glue to waterproof the ESC. The motor bullets weren't loose, so after a couple of hours thinking I decided to rip the rest of the casing apart.

Nothing to see...
Guess this is my first and my last CC ESC...
I'll keep the motor, and I think I'm going to buy a nice Hobbywing ESC to use with the 2200kv motor in my Trophy.
