Very clean conversion! With a 9L and 3s Lipo, it should run very well. Only thing I'd be worried is the thickness of the motor mount.

Yes, the motor mount does look a little on the thin side. I'd use at least something 3mm or thicker.
But yes, thats a very nice conversion. Nearly looks factory...good job.

its 1/8th inch 7075-heat treated to T6, i think the picture is decieving i barely have enough motor shaft sticking through to reach the spur, and im gonna have to turn my pinion out just to reach.

Very clean conversion.
Two things:
first, replace the front dogbone by the CVD unit, because the stock dogbone fall off on a tight turn.
second, the pin, in the axle, who hold wheel in place, change it by something more durable, because you'll snap it every run. On mine, i've use an allen key of the same dimension of the stock pin and cut 4 pieces of this allen key with a cuter pliers. No problems after doing this mod.
You'll love this truck on a track, it's a beast in brushless setup.

wow, it looks like a very clean conversion. i feel like mine is cluttered now, although i'm taking up alot more room with batteries.

I read about the front bones coming out and i took mine apart already and put little o-rings and foam blocks in the cups to keep the bone centered and they FAR from coming out when to have the wheels turned to the stops, unlike stock which got pretty loose. Thanks for the heads up about the axle pins i already had to do that to my little mini-lst2 beacause i would snap a stub axle and loose the pin.
btw i weighed my truck as you see it and im getting just a hair under 5 pounds. is this heavy or light compared to everyone else's LS10s ?
yours is different tashpop i like it, how does it weigh in with all those A123 cells?

i haven't weighed mine yet. i've been looking for a nice postal scale that'll do like 20lbs or so. i'd say its heavier than yours, although it feels pretty nimble while driving. the stock steering servo strains real hard when i tested it out on a concrete parking lot during faster manuvers.

Got my mamba max in today, now all i need is my pinions and some more plugs i have to pick up tomorrow. My CC bec didint come in with my mamba max like it was supposed too jsut a note in the box saying it would ship later. So i guess ill be waiting on it even after i get my pinions, or would it be ok to run it with out it until it gets here???? I dont want to chance it if it will prolly cause me problems with out it.
With the mamba max where should i start as for a good base setup, or does anyone run a 9L on 3s and would like to let me know a good place to start.

BrianG did a test on the MM's internal BEC, said "anything over 3S is a big NO NO" (it get's hotter the more volts it has to bleed off). Going on this I would say you are just fine running the internal bec on 3S untill the CC BEC get's there.
If I could only draw what I see in my head, then afford to build it, and finaly get to play with it...
