might put together my old rusty - 02.01.2008, 02:32 PM

so im bored at school and figured idgo on the internet I got internet on my fone

I have an older style rusty that is just sitting around. I figure I can sell it or put it together... and if I sell it im guessing ill get maybe 50

so it has most of the durability upgrades... rpm arms rpm cariers with the bearings flm front skid.. thas it

I don't think im going to go bl with this truck since im just making it with the parts I have

im saving up for a plasma or lcd or some nice tv

anyways I will be running it on 2s a123 on this... do u think that will be enough?
the motor im gonna run will probably be just a cheap motor but im looking for like 25-30 mph so I might have to buy a diff motor
anyon here have experiences with brushed motors for rusty?

im typing all this on my fone so if it doesn't make much sence im sorrbut

alls im asking isssss

what brushed motor on 2s a123 will get me a decent speed?

thanks!

you could go with an orion V2 14x1 my friend has this in his pede with a duratrax controller and itll move pretty good. its almost as fast as his stock emaxx (thats upper 20s i guess but not quite 30) of course it doesnt accelerate as hard but its pretty quick for a brushed pede

You can get the sidewinder ESC for about $60, and some Feigao S or L size motor probably for about $40....

Just put the new Traxxas 12t 550 motor in it. It's only about $20, and it'll get you 25~30mph. Do you have an esc?

well i have a little cheapo esc. dont remeber the name. it doesnt have a heatsink or anything though so idk how it will handle the 12t.

i might as well buy the more expensive stuff since i will eventually upgrade it to brushless...

ive worked over 20 hours in the last 2 days so i havent had much time to look at everything i have... but once i do have time ill throw some pics of the progress i make.
