2200kv will work in a truggy. Does need a MMM or equivalent ESC though, not the MMP.

But as far as the listed item, you are only saving about 60 bucks vs. a new one (http://www3.towerhobbies.com/cgi-bin...&I=LXVHA5&P=ML). Personally I'd just wait and get a new one with warranty and all! Unless maybe I could get it for 150 or so. Its used, even limited amount of time, warranties don't transfer, etc.

2200kv WILL work, but not a 36-50 can...

The CC combo would be your best bet.

I went with the 5800 35C Zippy Flightmax myself for use in both my RC8Te and Savage Flux 5B.

Again, people have already made suggestions. 1800-2200kv Castle/Neu or Neu or Tekin motors, the 1515 size.

Yes, they aren't cheap. Save up your money. Or you can buy a 540XL Feigao clone and end up buying the Castle or Tekin in a few months anyway after the XL motor burns up. Your choice.

You should have listen to the people you asked for help. If you need a 540 sized (36mm) because of your mount you are very limited in motor choice. You should have supported RC-Monster, the company that pays for this forum, His motor mount would have let you use any motor. Good luck with the Losi esc, I haven't heard of anyone that has had good luck with them. When you choose your motor, because you are limited to a 36mm I would look for a Medusa, at least a 70mm if not 80mm long, or a Neu 14xx series. If you are going to go the cheap route make sure to get an XL motor. As for matching up motor and voltage, your gonna want to get your peak motor rpm in the 30-35k range

RC-Monster RC8T 1515 2.5D/MMM/5s RC-M 4500mah
SC10 MMPro 13.5T 2s NeuEnery 5000mah
RC18T Mamba 25/5400kv 2s lipo + 6s NiMh

+1

They say a good mechanic only needs 2 tools - WD40 & Duct tape. If it moves, and its not supposed to, duct tape. If it doesn't move, and its supposed to, WD40.
