I'd first check the slipper for wobble by rotating it without a spur installed. The defect on mine that I mentioned (and others have seen) was a bit of extra metal in the pin slot itself where the plate fits over the pin. I tiny bit of extra metal there will throw the whole slipper assembly off signficantly.

If your slipper has no wobble - then carefully installing the spur, tightening the screws together (not one all the way) should give you no wobble (unless the spur is warped to begin with).

Again, I never had a problem with a spur gear itself -just the slipper.
