My conversion will be ready in a few weeks (Posted on the 21st). It isn't just a motor mount, but rather a complete kit that will be transform the car to an E-machine rather than simply convert it. :)

thomatrix, it won't be ready. I just like to bust Mike's b@lls.

Perhaps you should raise the bar a little and try not sounding like a 12yo ;) I have certainly asked for updates in the past but cut the man some slack - this is a little over the edge...

Just having some fun. Mike actually promised in an 11-22-09 post that they would "be ready in a week." You can always complain to the moderators, maybe they will remove my posts. Here RC-Monster, we are irreverent and light hearted. Best not to take yourself too seriously or take offense too easily. Remember, Linc lies in wait!

Sorry, been gone a few days and couldn't do the countdown. Five more days. In the mean time, I'm selling my 5T engine, check out the FS forum here.

Talked to Dan at Kershaw. He's going to offer 4mm mounting plates for the 2200 series Neu's. From what he described, it still doesn't sound like the best system. I'll wait for Mike's (5 days!). The mount he makes looks beefy as all get out.

Wow, what a mount, that thing must be bulletproof with that ultra strong jackshaft and uber plastic spur gear. Got to be the best thing dor 5th scale since tires!

Well at least they put some plastic in there to attach to the chassis braces. I always get a kick out of their battery "stops", its a small screw not even half the height of the battery with what looks like rubber fuel line on it.

It does look kind of flimsy. I can't imagine that thing holding up to a 2215 on 12S. It actually seems more suited for a 1/10th scale conversion. Oh well, just have to wait for Mike's system.

Looks like Jason from MaxAmps just sent Mike some packs to test. Jason reports that Joe from Castle said this about the Kershaw kit:"Actually I talked to Joe at castle about that kit. Looks like they won't warranty any of their current motor line if used with this Conversion. Simply saying that not even the 1717 will hold up to it."

I guess Jason found a new place to get more noobs to buy their over priced stuff. In rcgroups, MA seems to be somewhat not active. Some folks stated the way overpriced stuff and Austin went in there to say the price increase wasn't a lot and got burned in the process. If someone knows how to set up a electric vehicle the 1717 would have no problem pushing a Baja.

His job is to prey on Noobs.

He goes on all the forums and preaches garbage and brainwashes folks to buy MA and pushes inferior kits and products cause he gets the free toys and perks.

I retired from RC, now life is all about guns and long range shooting.

Hi Mike,
it's been around 3+ weeks since you last posted an update. How are things progressing and can you reveal a little more on what to expect?

I myself have a ton of questions... Will it only be sold as a full kit or can the mount (and other parts) be purchased separately? Does the 2215 still fit the mount or has that changed? What does the kit consist of? Pics?...

Guess I could just go on and on. Let us know how things are going.

Thanks.

I see that RC-Monster is listed for the March RCX show. Anything new going to be at that show? Oh I don't know...maybe a certain conversion kit????

This is pretty much a copy of a previous post. Questions remain the same now as then.
