Does this mean that the skids are directly connected to the chassis?

Sorry but the G2R X-Brace is much in need of improvment.... The current design is not strong in supporting the rear end so it bends upward over time...

Yeah, that's the spirit!!!

I'll do some research, so far i only came accross an organized race for 1/5th scales.. One of their members/organizers is rather enthusiastic about brushless cars! (understatement) and wants one too.

I think it's possible (according to him) to go there the day before the 1/5th races and use the track..

Another event here is on a BMX track, not really my bag though.. from my understandings the track uses 1-2cm diameter large rocks.. It's dangerous without wearing protective clothes.. More of a bash than a race.. And i bet if we explore the pit we visitied last year, there will be plenty of room to bash..

Holy Crap those price are ridiculously high!!!

They added $100+ to the cost of the G2 chassis and the only differenc I can see is thicker plates and it comes with the extended chassis option.

The single motor mount is cool wiht the ability to lower the motor 15 degrees.... But $39 for a single plate. Thats just stupid.

I for one wont be upgrading anytime soon at those prices.

I can't decide if its more fun
to make it...
or break it...

I signed in to say that too..

that's not a normal price for a flat piece of aluminum..

Not to worry, the singlespeed became 74 bucks too.

The most revolutionary parts are the arms. The setscrews are a nice add-on

Does the extended center CV's work with the G3 chassis? Also, the 1" extension, i guess my new rear Gorilla skid is useless?

They still didn't change the braces though, which are in need of being beefed up!

Pretty looking G3.3 arms too :027:

Prob not a basher arm though, i'm sure you can design it just as light and make it have more strength than those...

Well, I don't think i can fit my 2x 5s1p packs on there (a123's), as the motor mount is int he way... i could just get a custom one machined

This was not worth waiting for. Who closes a website for that long to come up with products that are only slightly different from the ones they had? Can't say that the new layout is an improvement either.

Off-topic:
Aren't there any G2R kits around in the stores? Are people waiting for the
G3R? I know Louis at www.ballistichobbies.com had a the G2R in stock a few days ago.

Those prices are very high. I had to get me a single speed though, I've been waiting too long to get one. Had some extra $$$ sitting on my paypal account anyway.
