If you have access to CNC equipment then it should be pretty easy, Im sure AngryAlien can provide you with some dimensions, then just pick up center diff to work with.

We at RC-Monster have a proud history of building our own motor mounts and center diff units when there isnt one suitable that you can buy

i was thinking too buy a CD mount and rebuild it with other materia...som 1:8 mount and CD that is better to use than other?
is it possible to use a "normal" CD för 1:8? will i not break my motor? what gearing? pinion/spur when i use 5s.

yes i use to work with CAD and CNC equipment, but just in wood...

I believe this is the item you are looking for: X-RAY XB8 Alu Center Diff Mounting Plate Set

Other options to search for are the OFNA LX ONE and OFNA JAMMIN mounts.

Hope this helped...

Thanks man... I got the carbon cut on a CNC router (with a 1/8 tungsten carbide bit)... I think the skid would make a great platform to mount CD with no worries.

is it any difference between 1:8 center diffs?can i use whichever?
i have HB diffs and i think i will go for a Hot Bodies Center Diff Hardened 50T Lightning:http://www3.towerhobbies.com/cgi-bin...&I=LXLGX1&P=SM

how about the gearing?any suggestions? 2200kv motor and 5s.

it looks that mike will make a batch of these, but if he dont i will build one by my self with a plastic center mount and CF...

I think some Brands/models may differ with the bearing sizes and overall length... for example: the OFNA LX ONE I'm currently using has larger bearings than the OFNA SPIDER
I want to switch over to... So I am now in the process of redesigning the CD/motor mount to Facilitate it.

I hope the below helps... did some guessing with tire size and diff ratio.

Option 1

Differential Ratio: 4.3
Transmission Ratio: 1
Other Ratio: 1
Spur Tooth Count: 50
Pinion Tooth Count: 12
Total Voltage: 18.5
Motor KV: 2200
Tire Diameter (inches): 5.65 - (Not sure if this is the size tire you are using)
Tire Ballooning (inches): 0
Motor Current Draw: 0
Motor Coil Resistance: 0
Spur/Pinion Ratio: 4.17 : 1
Total Ratio: 17.91667 : 1
Tire Circumference (inches): 17.75 inches (450.85 mm)
Rollout: 0.99:1
Total Motor Speed: 40700 RPM
Vehicle Speed: 38.18 mph (61.34 km/h)
Effective KV Value: 2200
KT constant: 0.61 oz-in/A

Option 2

Differential Ratio: 4.3 (I am assuming the this ratio is correct)
Transmission Ratio: 1
Other Ratio: 1
Spur Tooth Count: 50
Pinion Tooth Count: 11
Total Voltage: 18.5
Motor KV: 2200
Tire Diameter (inches): 5.65
Tire Ballooning (inches): 0
Motor Current Draw: 0
Motor Coil Resistance: 0
Spur/Pinion Ratio: 4.55 : 1
Total Ratio: 19.54545 : 1
Tire Circumference (inches): 17.75 inches (450.85 mm)
Rollout: 0.91:1
Total Motor Speed: 40700 RPM
Vehicle Speed: 35 mph (56.22 km/h)
Effective KV Value: 2200
KT constant: 0.61 oz-in/A

Mike is the perfect person to ask... He can tell you what spur sizes and what bearings will fit in there... you should be able to use HB and OFNA with that mount...
not sure what models though... drop Mike a mail and confirm it with him... You can ask JoFreak also, he just got one from Mike.

Oh... well, as I said before I had to do some guessing since you didn't give a whole lot details before... So I made some changes with the info provided...
I don't think you'll have to change your pinion... See if the below makes any sense to you.

5s

Differential Ratio: 3.3076923076923075 <--- HB lightning diff ratio (13t pinion and 43 spur)
Transmission Ratio: 1 <--- no gear box
Other Ratio: 1
Spur Tooth Count: 50
Pinion Tooth Count: 11
Total Voltage: 18.5
Motor KV: 2200
Tire Diameter (inches): 5.8 <---- Mashers
Tire Ballooning (inches): 0
Motor Current Draw: 0
Motor Coil Resistance: 0
Spur/Pinion Ratio: 4.55 : 1
Total Ratio: 15.03497 : 1
Tire Circumference (inches): 18.22 inches (462.82 mm)
Rollout: 1.21:1
Total Motor Speed: 40700 RPM
Vehicle Speed: 46.71 mph (75.03 km/h)
Effective KV Value: 2200
KT constant: 0.61 oz-in/A

4s

Differential Ratio: 3.3076923076923075
Transmission Ratio: 1
Other Ratio: 1
Spur Tooth Count: 50
Pinion Tooth Count: 11
Total Voltage: 14.8
Motor KV: 2200
Tire Diameter (inches): 5.8
Tire Ballooning (inches): 0
Motor Current Draw: 0
Motor Coil Resistance: 0
Spur/Pinion Ratio: 4.55 : 1
Total Ratio: 15.03497 : 1
Tire Circumference (inches): 18.22 inches (462.82 mm)
Rollout: 1.21:1
Total Motor Speed: 32560 RPM
Vehicle Speed: 37.37 mph (60.03 km/h)
Effective KV Value: 2200
KT constant: 0.61 oz-in/A

Let me know if this helps..
