Wow, what a beast, and it fits perfectly into my baja5b conversion kit that I just have finished.
Awsome. Have to buy one of this motors and test it.

And I am going to be using Mike's conversion kit.
There are just 2 deans that I am aware of. The micro Deans and the regular Deans, I'll just be using regular and I think they will hold up just fine. If not, I will switch up to deans connectors.

Haha yeah, I meant switch up to bullet connectors. Oops! And I'll let you know how it all runs soon! Most likely on Monday when I get my batteries, but it could be sooner on 6s. I'll keep you guys updated.

cool dude! I'm sure we all will be waiting for your findings! ;)
and could you also post some pics of the conversion kit with the combo in your baja + with the batteries?
I would like to get a visual how tight the batteries sit and how much room left there would be.
+ a vid would be cool of course as well :p

Hi Patrick, what are the Specs for the FETs in the current Hydra line? the specs above point to a possible future Hydra Ice 200A HV ESC only 50% bigger and more expensive than the possible future Hydra Ice 200A LV ESC,
whereas the current Hydra 240HV Looks like its twice the size and close to twice the price of the current Hydra 240LV, have HV FET improvements narrowed the size weight and cost difference between HV and LV ESCs?

hmm, I read on a board that Deans wouldnt be sufficient enough, they can only handle max 60amps....so I assume deans connectors are not done with this system?

deans are rated at 60 amps for safe use. I swear by deans and will use them on my e5b. You will never sustain a 60 amp draw. Deans should be fine.
I have never ever ever seen a melted deans. If you melt a deans you are doing something seriously wrong.

I looked in the "every manual you ever need" sticky in the general section and couldn't find it.
Could you provide a link for the pc challenged?

Hi all, what about the BEC of Mamba XL ?
I've read its capable of 5 ampere, so I wonder whether I've to use the ESC without external BEC or not (initially I would use the ESC with 6s only on a 1717)
Bye, Andrea.

Yes, I know and this is the same for the internal BEC of Mamba Monster, however, with the Monster, I do prefer to use en external BEC when I go with 6s.
My question was if I should do the same with the XL.
Bye, Andrea
