Well...
As I told you in the PM I sent you (you're welcome btw... ) you most likely need to change down to the 10T pinions for the diff.
And that's exactly what I and others told you before you started building your truck: "If you are going to use a CD you will need the pro diffs with the 10T pinions".
As for Brians calculator: just type in all your values and click on "calculate speed".
The tires are in the calculator, so just choose them. You said you run it on 5s lipos, so choose "5 cells" in the according drop down menu and choose 4.2V in the next menu, so you get the absolute maximum on which speed is possible. Enter 2200 for the motor and choose "direct drive or center diff" for transmission.
now you have to enter what combination of pinion and diff you are using, "8th style buggy 43/13" in your case. You can change that later if you want to see what difference it would make to change to the 10T pinions.
Now all there is left to do is enter what spud and pinion you are going to use on the centerdiff. 44T is what I have and what fits into the G3 chassis without problems, 46T would be an option. Don't know the dimensions of the FLM chassis (why is this thread still in the gorilla forum anyways?), but I am pretty shure a 50T spur wouldn't fit.
Now you just enter what pinion you want to use and click "calculate speed" and see how fast it would go...

No reason to dismiss the CD generally, apart from the possibility to get it driveable with "extreme" gearing, there allways is the option to just get 2 new pinions with 10T for the diffs and you're fine. I think you missunderstood me, you don't need a complete set of new diffs, just 2 new pinion gears.
Another possibility is that you can drive your truck with the tranny for now and if you get the feeling that a CD would be usefull, get the CD from traxxas that fits into the tranny or (and) a CD-mount (later).

nice work man... i love what you have done with the wires... the layout is a little cleaner... been looking for that stuff here, but i can find it anywhere...
I think you will have to employ two smaller velcro straps to secure batteries on the sides during those extreme lateral 'maneuvers'.

looking good... now finish it and get it dirty

Looks great, really liking the white details & cable sheaving, really adds a touch of class.

Is there anything else left to do besides painting the shell?

Try this thread (Whats a good voltage cutoff for......)... 3.2-3.3 seems to be good.

Looks great, but you are really going to want the batteries all the way up instead of all the way back to get some more weight on the front half of the chassis otherwise the front end won't be heavy enough, the truck will push alot when you turn on power. Which will be the way you will often(most) turn, on power.

Can i buy mount for the CD to a FLM maxx from u?pictures? u can post it in my thread. Thanks
As for the first part, Ah I see and I should have seen that before!

For the second part, you posted this on my vistor message area. I rarely ever look there and don't get notification when someone does. I don't know how you think I might have a RCM Maxx CD unit but I wish and would probably not sell it LOL nope. One would fix your weight distrubution problem because for one thing you could point the motor forwards(which would add alot more forward weight and cooling as a bonus as its better in the wind) and allow you to mount the batteries more forwards because well you wouldn't have the tranny in the way. So I say to you be ready when they hit the shelves this week. I wouldn't be surprised if they don't come out for another year though.
