I’m thinking about the v3 eLogger system.

So what’s the consensus here? Are the initial 60k+ spikes erroneous data from the logger, or are you actually spinning that fast for some reason?

I just read that properly. It does seem like something funny is going on and the motor speed is definitely not that high. A spike nothing then another big spike then back to normal rpm.

I changed gearing to 46/14 on HB LSP and car still pretty fast and i start to think maybe i have wrong motor :) not 9XL maybe 6XL
Any way to detect it?
Maybe measure no load current? but on what voltage?
You took a 6 for a 9? (Sorry, I couldn't resist)

And if its true its explains why my system still so hot and why i burned 2 BK9920 on 5S. And it was geared to 40mph brians calc . I am actualy never measured top speed only raced. And if its right it means that my truck was geared before 57mph.

OK KB45-10L motor just arrived which is ~1800KV so i will hook that motor and measure No Load Current and RPM and try Compare with feigao

Maybe it wasn't your mistake - just mislabeled. Happened to me when I bought my Neu 1512 2.5d but actually got a 2d. The box said 2.5d, but the label on the motor (under the rear cover) said 2d. Like you, the buggy seemed awfully fast for the voltage I was using. Luckily, I didn't burn anything out though...

OK I made some test with no load run to figure out is my RPM sensor accurate or do I realy have 9XL motor
Specs shows:
KB45-10L ~1800KV
Feigao 9XL ~1853KV
I made few runs and here is results:
KB45-10L

Feigao 9XL????

So measured KV is on KB45-10L 1780KV which is pretty close to spec 1800KV
On feigao KV is 2380 which is by specs actualy 7XL
This means that all the time I run 7XL and thinking why my system so hot and fast DAMN!

BTW KB45-10L goes hot pretty fast on full trottle about 20sec it hit about 45*C

If you want to compare, run a session under the car profile, then run another session under the airplane profile and compare. As far as the temps, remember the car is not moving so no airflow!! You might want to run a fan over it to simulate movement.
