If you push them that far they aren't going be around for very long! Lithium or not, heating batteries to at or waaayyyyy above their rated temps by exceeding the maximum current, or by taping a 60W soldering iron to it, will greatly shorten the life cycle.

As such I stand behind my original opinion that the test was completely pointless.
