YEAH! that's about the same setup as i have got in mind!, i have got 4 shocks, instead of 8 (ofna 9.5 (UE)) with the racer X suspension you have! I will get the GA 6061 bulks, with the UE 8 spider. (just to be save) and a set of GA ti skids..

I like the CF g-maxx frame! how is it handling? Why are your tires mounted wrong?

I just got the shocks and susp. and still putting everything together. I just put the tires on for the picture. The carbon fiber chassis is great. With over an inch longer it really helps keep the front end down. The chassis weighs practicly nothing. I did blow out my spyder gears inside the allum diffs, but I think it was because they were not shimmed correctly. The 7xl with 18 batt. is really powerfull. Once I get it all together again I will be able to tell if the diffs hold up with it shimmed correctly.

I did a little math, ican buy te UE diffs for 244 dollars.

If i buy the stockdiffs with aluminum diffcase, it would be also about 250 dollars.. So i think it is more interesting for me to buy the UE's. I saw you bought your ' stock ' diffs for a nice price..

have you got more pics of your project? What bulks are you using? How much does it weight?

His tires are on right in the picture. The rear upper arm is mounted backwards, though. You can get the diff cups and aluminum cases for around $150 here. Then you just need the spider gears (around$5 per set) and your diffs are set. Ryan runs the Integy version of the racer-x suspension, as well as Integy type II bulks, RD Logics cvds, Maximizer cups inside aluminum cases (bought these used) and a few other goodies.

Those tires are made to eat the sand, not the other way around... (correct me if i am wrong but they are mounted wrong, for real......)

Well, for that last 60-70 bucks, i choose the 8-spiders.

After a second look, you are absolutely correct! The tires are on backwards (and so is the rear upper arm). I am going to carry the Fastlane Hybrid bulks and should have them in by the end of the week. I think the Hot Bodies buggy hardened gears should fit in them, and they are pretty inexpensive. You can't go wrong with the UE stuff, either though.

wonder how it would run with the upper rear arm reversed?? - wonder if it makes a difference?? - couldnt the tires be corrected by switching sides? :)

It doesn't matter that much (the rear suspension).. My UE doesn't bind when mounted wrong..

And yes, those tires are right, when mounted on the other side.

Some guys on the Traxxas forum have broken RD Logics cvds on stock Titans on 12 cells.

There is a user on this forum running 18 cells through a 7xl motor with the RDLogics cvds. He blows diffs, but not cvds. I suppose it is safe to assume that there is a lemon or so for every product out there. The RDLogics cvds are beefier than the MIPs, and likely stronger as well.

The RDLogics cvds can't be used with 1/8 diff, though, which is unfortunate. They are similar in design to the dynamite cvds in that they have a shorter bone and longer drive cup.

Very true about the bad thing in every product. In the UE VBS, the rear has some caster to it in the back for anti-squat. Do the FLM combo bulks have any special geometry like that?

No. Stock geometry. No anti squat like the UE.
