azjc- do you think i would be able to mesh a 12 or 11 tooth pinion with the 40 tooth revo spur, i wanna make sure there is enough adjustment before i order gears from mike.

i said i had it "coming" the only one the hobby shop had left was already paid for they just hadnt picked it up but he'll have me one there by this weekend for sure. should be a fun weekend thats for sure ill have two brand to trucks to run; the slash and my truggy.......work is gonna fly by this week.

I had no problems meshing a 16 tooth, I think if the pinion you will be using is a Mod 1 gear you shouldnt, they are the easiest to mesh

i just got the slash and put the vxl system in it with a 23 tooth pinion and its pretty quick on my 3s packs, just a caution though, trim your body, because i have blown up 3 tires from them ballooning and hitting the body, as of right now they are held together with super glue...lol, At least until i can get some new ones. there almost bald anyways, and thats with about 4 runs with my 5000mAH batteries.

Toys:

Slash with VXL
E-revo with MMM/Teckno Nue 1515/1yf running 4s and 5s

yea we could here the body rubbing the tires on the stockers out there on the track in the corners and such we figured some stiffer springs on top of a little trimming will help keep the tires out of the body.

i did the math and if a 12/86 48p will work (which i know it does) and 12/40 mod1 will fit also. so ill try this at first.

4.5 or 4.6 i dont remember they are narrow tho so anyother tire on there might look funny. could use 17mm new era adaptors and run 1/8th buggy wheels and tires, maybe some badlands on some old ofna chrome 5 spokes, thatd be sweet.

the problem with the gear cover clearance is the width of the spur. the stock one comes back over the slipper where the 32p and mod 1 are just straight. I wouldnt worry about the gear cover though. I dont run one on my rusty and havent had any problems. was running 12/54 and the gear cover rubbed but would fit. 12/58 is a no go. I just took it off.

you will probably want to replace the rear bumper for a wheelie bar, my bumper is worn all the way out pretty much from scraping the road, not to mention it dosent help the truck from flipping over, mine flips on its back no matter what, i have the vxl with maxamps 11.1 8000 lipo. i cant give it full throttle at like 40-50 because it flops on its back and slides all the way down my street. I guess this is a good thing.
