Ok.

I just found out that the Lipo/Charger and stuff is REALLY expensive. I also need a Radio/Receiver.

I might get really nice 7-Cells for now.

The proteck 5s 4000 are 83 at amain - You get $5 off and free shipping if you round that up to $100

On the rx/tx - you should look at 2.4ghz - Dx3R is really nice but you can get the losi 2.4 on ebay for 80

Hmm...

That will work.

What charger? Is there a good one under $100?

I would suggest Hyperion, its the only charger I have owned and have never had a problem with any of them, for under $100 this will do fine and you will need a PS or lead acid car battery, for a little more they have a ac/dc model but its output is only 50 watts

just a heads up the 6s 8000 is a very big battery I have a 6s 5000 and I was surprised how big it was when I got it, and the charger you have a link to is the ac/dc battery I was suggesting but I didnt since you wanted to keep the price below $100, and its out put is only 50 watts...you would need about 200 watts to charge the 6s 8000 in an hour so you would be looking at 4hrs to charge that pack

That's 250 Watts.

What power supply can I use with that?

I have that charger and its great, you were sayinh=g you wanted to keep the price down or that would have been my first choice to suggest, I run the ofna 14v 18 amp PS and its good here is a link

http://www.impaktrc.com/product_info...oducts_id=2428

just make sure the PS is a switching type the power is clean without spikes and you will be fine

that PS puts out 252 watts and you will need to factor in 20% for effiency and that takes you down to 200 watts ...so thats is the smallest PS I would go with if you want to charge the 6s 8000 pack, but when you run higher voltage you dont need such a big pack escpecially when you run a lower kv motor

I would expect to pay $100 for a decent PS, you could make one from a computer PS but you would need to make from a 600w supply, I believe there are cheaper PS for the hobby out there....when I charge my pack I am using about 135 watts...but dont try to get a PS that is just barely poerful enough I like to put together a set up where I allow my self some leeway

So, http://www.impaktrc.com/product_info...oducts_id=2418 that power supply is powerful enough? Because that Charger is 10A and the Power Supply is 10A.
