Revo custom chassis

again imho....I wouldnt be building a truck around one battery...now if you had 4 or 5 of these 5s batts thats a dif story...for the price of zippy 3s you could sell your bat and get new batts..still use the 5s untill you make the change

3.3 chassis are cheap and making battery trays is a snap if you can cut your own chassis out of raw aluminum you can sure build a couple trays

The balance isn't really that bad with motor esc servo on one side and battery on the other. I also want to move the weight a little bit farther forward and havent found a good way of doing that on the stock chassis.

Many people use the Rc-monster and tekno conversion setups with the battery to one side without balance issues. In reality it is a non issue. With the motor mount, motor, and bulk of the transmission weight to the left, it usually balances perfectly having the battery on the right.

My slayer balances well with the battery on one side and the motor and servo on the other, Placing the esc on the motor side would help too. I prefer single battery setups, easier charging and balancing, simpler wiring too. I do have a few dual pack setups, they balance well too, but addl wire length is not desireable IMO.

Requires a little welding of the 3.3chassis, but that kinda idea might be good for a custom made chassis too.

that chassis looks good! and yes, good tip measure twice cut onece, i need to learn that one :(

Its a PITA to get all of the holes lined up right. Anyone know if I can get a CAD file of a Revo chassis? I'd also be interested in any other rc related cad files if anyone has them. ;)
