Not true b/c I had a 9xl in a e-lst2 and it never ran hot. I had 4 sets of batteries for it and could run them back to back. Given that I havent been able to keep a motor cool in my e-revo. I did manage to get a 10L in my e-maxx to stay cool(ran for 45mins and it only got to 175)

I think he ment the nimhs rather than the motors- it is possible to get feigaos running cool, but it takes a lot of careful tuning.

And only 175 after 45 minutes?- thats not exactly cool, but the time frame is quite good in relation.

so a medusa 70mm 2000kv would be perfect but it would make my batteries hot? i plan on going to 4s lipo for sure in the future but that might be a little while, so i dont want to kill my batts and have to jump right into lipo bcuz with all my trucks money is kinda tight. -Wes

Yep and yep basically. The motor will be ideal as a reliable and powerful powerplant, but your nimhs will most likely suffer, unless you gear down rather a lot- aim for 35mph gearing at most.

If money is that tight, concider culling some of your fleet so you dont have so many vehicles to maintain and buy parts for- Im sure there are some you could live without (same class of vehicles from different manufacturers for example).

Are you using a castle link or plugging the usb cord directly into the esc

The 8XL is 2084kv.

I blew one in my buggy by changing my pinion by a measley one tooth from 15t to 16 & poof it went.

I have ordered a Medusa 2000kv 80mm for my BLST. I'm going to order a 2000kv 70mm for my buggy which has been converted into a CORR truck.

Pity I don't have my 6 MM ESC's back from CC yet. Hopefully next week.

okay well im still having no luck with the esc program stuff so i think im going to be better off buying the whole link kit. also i have another question. whats really the difference between the medusa 70mm 2000kv and the medusa 60mm 2000kv because im looking to buy a used medusa motor and im finding lots of 60mm motors but no 70mm motors. and also the nimh's wont be here long i think im gunna sell some stuff and get 2 of these- https://www.hobbycity.com/hobbycity/...idProduct=6500 and ill be good. that batt will work with the esc and the ubec right?. -Wes

The 70mm will have alot more torque. They are new from medusa. If your truck will be 10pounds or more get the 70mm. it will run cooler and have more gearing options.

That battery will work fine!

Yes and yes - you need to make a series adapter - not sure if that charge has a built in balancer but you also need a 4s to 2x2s balance adapter.

Briang has the diags for it if you search
