There is more to speed than watts. A Basic XL or Hacker L motor can show as much or more watts than a Hacker XL or even a 2240. But in the truck the small motors are much slower. You need the torque of the large motors to pull the weight/gear to get speed.
The 2240s are very costly(ask Mike for an exact price). They do take a custom mount. But the motors are very powerful and run so cool for the power made its hard to beat the 22 series.

You will need a custom mount like promod says. The motor has 4 mm screws with a 30 mm between them. Your look at about $350 I think it is for motor give or take a 10 bucks. I agree with promod on power to.

Where would I get one of the motor mounts from?
And would that motor run on my 14 cells until I go LiPo?

I not sure where you could buy one. I made mine. Maybe look at a 1950 series. It will have a little more umph than the xl motors. Just a thought.
