I was thinking the 3speed could make the truck even more versatile than it is. I could have a better crawl and top end all with one truck. It was just a thought.

with a two speed it can crawl and go fast allready. (though i didn't thought about that crawling part, Leroy. (didn't even knew people liked their MT's to crawl.. ;)

It will be even more stress on the drivetrain. 3 speed is made to fill up the missing torque with a nitro motor. eversince torque is the last thing that is missing on BL...

It is not that expensive, so you could at least give it a try.

Just remember that it will put even more stress on the drivetrain..

The extra gear I think will add a touch of weight and put a little more stress on drive train. I am not sure on motor or cells for truck. I have a 14 L here with good run time and decent power. I have a 7xl here with low run time and good power. I have a 9xl on the way with good run time and good power. Plus a some other motors not mentioned. :D I do crawl with some of my trucks. I am not all about speed. The three speed has 10% more crawl ablity. It also has 10% higher top speed. With the right gearing maybe I can get the truck to run 20% faster and same low speed. :D That would push me to 60mph instead of 50 mph. :L: I figure it out later. I need to see about getting a truck. The 4.6 seems to come with all the good stuff right out of the box. Is this the good deal to get.

It comes with some nice parts, i've got one coming too, but don't put too much money on HPI's heavy duty shafts and dogbones...

If you want any savage parts look on ebay, they cost like 1/2 price and under compared to tower :)
