Hey I've took a look at enerland based lipo and still have a little question left.

Neu 4900 25c E-revo and many other recommended don't sell anymore.
New neu 5000 30c are 31mm thick I don't know if they would fit. if they do, they are 160$ per pack.

At http://www.rclipos.com/RCL.html I can get PQ-5000XP-3S that would fit for 130$ per pack

Zippy-r are sold out too, seems I'm outta luck!

Zippy-h 20c have about 2v drop in a 3s pack at 20c from a video data test I saw, so I'm not that interrested in it.

What are the Mike lipo you guys told me about ?

That is an example of one of Mike's Lipos. Mike is the owner of RC-Monster. That pack would fit the E-REVO. Buy two and instead of running them in series run them in parrallel.

I believe they are comparable to SPC lipos really, that kinda level of quality- cheapish and cheerful so long as you arent building a total powerhouse of a setup.

The SMC are actually way better then SPC.I run the 5200 24c and they do great. They actually are 2 mph faster then my SPC8000's,which are comparable to MA,and the punch is noticeable,In my Erevo,MMM ,Medusa2000 .On the ones I have you must exit the wires through the vent. But they can be had at Stormer hobbies for 75 bucks each.IMO they are a good pack, for a good price..

Thanks for the help. I'm settling down for the new SMC 5500 11.1v 28+C. Until I can get them, I'll use the home made a123 I got.

I must say that this Tekno Neu 1515 1y is awesome! I runned 3s1p simply to try and hear the sound it has, but I was astonished to see I could hit almost 25mph geared 18pinion. I'm gonna get some connectors tonight to make a working 7s1p pack until I get the SMC. Those 3s1p already make it flip on it's top :P Damn I love this!

It looks like you can only run them as 2 X 2S in series.

Sorry, I run the 3S in my G3R (Gorrillamax) where I don't worry about batt sizes. I also have the 2S hard case 35C units and they are also excellent.

yeah Traxxas really was a bit shortsighted on the size of the battery compartments. if you want to run 6S you have a 5000 limit on batt size using the zippy H 3S 20C's although I am waiting on the new 30C 3S zippys which look like they will also fit.

I am also hearing that the new SMC 2S 9000 28Cs will fit. these could be the best yet in terms of run time and punch.

some rough calculations show that a 4s vs 6s lipo under same conditions,
the 4s will have 1/3rd the runtime than the 6s will.
one example..
rEvo can get 30 mins on 5000mah 6s. (using average voltage)
that's 432w/h

so 4s (avg voltage) will require 3x the amps to reach the 432w/h of the 6s.

meaning that a 9000mah 4s will not last as long as a 5000mah 6s under same speed/running conditions.

but this is dependant on the load you imply on your vehicle.

shaun

E-revo 3.3 conversion, 249kv outrunner, 6s, MMM
the porthole from the noob world an here has been opened!! that's how i got in.

If you are looking for other enerland cell options:

3700 25c fp/polyquest 4s packs will fit in the erevo trays with the leaf spring removed, parallel them up for 7400 4s lipo.

4500 3s 30c polyquest will fit in there too, in series for 4500 6s.

5s will be best with that motor. If you want to run 6s a lower kv motor will allow for more battery choice, such as a 5000 20c pack. Something like a 1600kv motor will work great with not quite top end lipos.
