Hmm, I guess so. The esc and batts are worth at least 1k each, so that founds like a deal.

Is there any chance that it's a typo and he really meant $600? That seems at least somewhat reasonable. He has 86 transactions, 100% positive, so you'd think he'd have a rough idea. I'm hoping it's just a typo.
He's down by the river ... walking on water.

^^ DaaAAaamm!! If he had it listed for $600 I'd buy it!!! Anything like that I would sell for: what is cost me (inc. shipping) + 10% assembly fee + actual shipping charge. That would be far less than s.i.x-t.h.o.u.s.a.n.d d.o.l.l.a.r.s .

I am sure. -

With his 100% rep in tact I am sure that he honestly has close to that tied up in the truck, but it is a novelty truck. Nothing more nothing less. If you layed out all of the parts installed in it I am sure that it is worth some dough, and probably worth every penny. But who in the hell lays out $6K up front on a project that is already built? Where is the fun in that? Like I said he needs to dismantle the truck and sell off the parts. Even if he charges top dollar at that point the hit is much less of an issue for the average R/C consumer. I am willing to bet that most of the people on RCM do not spend that much in a year on R/C gear. Not everyone has a house full of $$$$$ in R/C stuff like lincpimp does . Someone needs to take this guy by the shoulders and shake the hell out of him hoping to knock some sense into him. What does he think that Bill Gates is going to drop in and start an R/C hobby?????

I agree. Full alloy builds aren't practical (IMO) for any type of serious driving. If you're only gonna run it in the Thanksgiving parade, then go for it. The only exception would be crawlers.

One liners. -
02.05.2009, 11:15 PM
Hey James your one liners never seise to amaze me (NAh... I do not like al like that friut bag does.) Fruit bag?? You crack me up linc. If you price all of his gear out it may be worth a few thousand, but asking $6K for it is just rediculous from my perspective. People are loosing their jobs, their homes, their cars, and prices are still going up. Is this guy nuts or what?

That guy is a fruit bag (he would be a nut bag if he had a $100 buy-it-now) See the difference!
Glad i made you laugh Jerry. If I only make one person spit their drink all over their pc I will have succeeded...

I dont have $6,000 in my jeep yet and I can drive it to work when I have to. Thats just crazy. There are 12 bids though. I'm kinda curious to see what they were. You never know, there's a sucker born every minute. Me personally I got nervous just looking at the add with my ebay account logged in. One accidental click and .......

It would have to be two accidental clicks..... I think you would lose the benefit-of-the-doubt with the second one!
