I just built a 3905 trans for my Revo conversion...I think I will try this idea.

NP magman... I should have mentioned it may get messy if you are running shielded bearings, sealed ones are kinda necessary.
Again, the key is using very little- way less than you'd think. Literally JUST enough to be picked up by the lowermost gear, and you will certainly notice everything is freer if you have been using grease.
