You can get a job at most fast food joints at 14; or at lest in SD you can... Stop in a talk to a manager about getting a job. If they tell you to take an app and leave, ask when an interview could be scheduled when you turn it in. They do interviews in groups. Make sure to stop in when it's not busy if possible too; go an hour to 1:30 away from 12 or 6. Or you could try to get a better job like at a grocery store or something....

Ok I think Im just going to keep it. The conversion will work so Im just going to run the conversion style set up. For how much it would cost to go to the E chassis I could just save a bit more and get a full roller. I would be able to run mech brakes with the conversion right...

You said the trans is locked into second, if thats the case and you use a pinion on the motor you don't need to run mech brakes. If the trans wasn't locked, and/or you used the tekno clutch setup you would have to run mech brakes.

One piece of advice, decide what chassis you want to run and the battery location before buying batts. If you buy a 5cell brick, it won't fit in an e-revo chassis and you'll spend more reconfiguring it or buying another batt if you decide you want to go that route.

Yea that is one reason I want to stick with the conversion because I want to get a 1\8 truggy and running a single 5s would be best IMO. But if I run mech brakes I wiuld be able to use a plane ESC and save even more money.

I say stay away from mechanical breaks unless you're running a clutch or a HV setup. You'll be more then happy with the MMM.

If I run mech brakes I could get a $30 HobbyCity SS ESC. They are rated for 100a and up to 8s and you dont need a pistix. I want to spend as little money as possible because chances are Im going to sell it once I get a job and then Ill be able to convert a Truggy. As long as all of the electonics last that long Im happy...

I don't trust that esc for car use. Just invest in a MMM/medusa and a good lipo and transfer those elecs to a truggy when you get a job.

By the time I save up that much money Ill be able to get a job. Im starting to think selling it as a roller and using the money I get and putting it toward electronics would be the best thing to do. Do I have a chance if finding a used MMM v3? If I did I might be able to get it running before I go to the beach with my friend...

It already has a crappy 2000kv XL motor in there so Im going to use that for as long as I can. I think Im not going to worry about getting it running quickly but take my time and do it right the first time. Now I just need to decide if Im going to stick with the Conversion or go the alternate route. Im leaning toward the Conversion because Ill be able to run 5s which would save me money on batteries in the long run and I doubt I will notice any issues with balance. How is the Tekno conversion?
