I saw the new conversion kit for the CRT .5 on Ebay tonight. It includes the same parts tree shown in the second post, but the motor mount is different. It is a 3-piece mount that attaches the motor to a rotating cam and uses that to adjust gear mesh. The listing said it was Ofna part number 40990, but when I searched online nothing came up.

p.s. anyone has part number 21067?? I need the lower thingy of the shock that mounts onto the arm and the upper part that mounts to the shocktower / standoff. Can't find it anywhere, atleast not when shipping is less than the product itself...

ps. who of you is running 1/8 buggy rims and who likes it more than 1/10 ?

It's this part.
Jammin sells it as hopup for the SCRT10. If you get the SCRT10 from HongNor, it's the standard motor mount.

Ah this thing has been shelved for too long! Had a crazy start to the year.

Silent Bob the dimensions are roughly 26mm wide and 150mm long. Max height while still using the plastic cover over the top is 48mm but you can go higher if you remove it and use straps. Sorry for the delay getting back.

That new motor mount looks awesome! I had heaps of trouble setting the mesh with the forward facing motor mount screws, this looks easy as! Thanks for the links.

I cancelled my MMP order from tower back in march after being on back order for months. Just saw it in stock so its time to get this thing up and running.

Cheers All.

Thanks Popoxx. The MMP should be here soon so the days of cleanliness are numbered

And yes, me drum. I just finished a soundscape assignment for Uni that features my childhood role-model, Animal (the muppet). I'll post a link when I get round to getting it up on myspace.

Hey if anyone's interested it looks like OFNA are clearing out CRT.5 Pro kits for US$99!!! See here...

Well my MMP has decided to see the world it seems. It was shipped on the 2nd June, left the States on the 5th and nothing has shown up in tracking since. Called Australia Post today and the last info they have is that it was put in a bag in ROMANIA (for F@#$'s sake!) a week ago! Tower said they don't want to hear about it until 45 days after shipping. That should give it time to sail the seven seas and cross every continent on the back of a friggin camel! (Which is probably where it is now).

Anyway in the mean time I was messing around with a Jconcepts Illuzion B44 body I had cut to fit the CRT.5 before the e-conversion parts came out. A bit too much material is removed to fit now it sits about 1/2 an inch higher. I think I'll get another and recut it, I've always wanted to convert it to a buggy and I think this is gonna work this time.

The body's just sitting on the front post (turned around and mounted on the back of the tower) So when fitted properly it'll be about 1/4 inch lower.

Well my MMP emailed me some postcards of its travels. Glad its enjoying its world tour.

Tower's super saver shipping may not be the quickest but its great value if you want your parts to see the world.

Couldn't help myself.
