Robison Racing - check on tower for their slipper kit. Worked well for me. Also, there is a conversion you can do to run a Revo spec slipper (the new slipper set up). I dont know where the thread is - might be in the brushless section. Requires a bit of work to do it though.

Really? What brand CVDs? Why didn't you mention this before? What about them is failing?

Ah. Robinsonracing.com I've had mine since I've had brushless. Years now. Its never really failed me. One time I had a screw back out and get caught in the mesh even with running the plasitc spur which I reccomend. Any way I bought a new screw put a tiny amount of lock tight on just that one and never had a problem from any of them. I wanted for the longest time to go to the strobe sprong slipper but my RRP slipper never failed so thats what I continue to use.

After reading I have an excellent idea for you! Ditch the 3906 slipper and do the mod to run a 3905 slipper!!! It's not that hard, costs about $30 in parts and a little time. If you search there are threads in here explaining how to do it. I did the mod on my first project, a G2R revo that used a 3906 tranny, because I to melted the spur which resluted in a snapped motor shaft!!!

After getting the proper slipper in there even the plastic shafts hold up well. When I do wear one out or break one I keep it cause they break in different places and I have made spare shafts out of broken ones.

I killed cvds too. It was in my e-revo with a mamba monster 2200 on 4s. The only ones that held up were traxxas. I even killed the $130 mip ones(and they didnt warrenty them even though they admited 2 wernt even heat treated and they said they would warrenty them). They wore out fast(I bought rebuild kits and went threw then every few weeks. Then they snaped in half. I also snapped the vantage racing cvds(on the first run and they didnt warrenty them either after they said they would)

So I would have to say go with the traxxas ones

I recently got a Revo that i converted to brushless. I pretty much scraped my Maxx cause i don't really need it anymore. Thanks for your inputs though If i ever break the driveshafts in it I am going to get Traxxas ones.
