It looks like the main difference between the two is the servo position. The receiver box looks the same, just different mounting. I like the vertical servo option with the receiver box next to it. Mikes motor mount and battery box look 100000000x better than the xray ones.

Center diff and motor is moved way to the back of the chassis in the one with the lay down servo. The one with the stand up servo has the center diff in the stock nitro position it appears.

That is the really big difference in the 2 layouts. Probably totally changes the weight balance of the car.

I can't decide if its more fun
to make it...
or break it...

So Ross, is it still better to just convert one using Mike's kit?

Castle Neu 1520 on 6S LiPo Powered Gmaxx (Nitro Killer)
Predator with OS .21TM
Supermaxx with Mach .26
Revo with OS .18TZ
Kyosho ST-RR Conversion
Ofna CR with Tekin ESC/Motor (2)

I quite like the servo laydown version, however that motor mount would have to be replaced by mike's. The tray however seems quite light though.

convert hands down at this stage in the game. im not even running a newer 808 (09 or 10 spec) and its perfect with mike's kit. 1512 3d, 5s 3300vx pack and MMM and its awesome ultra light, easy to work on, easy to clean and easy to drive.
