Yeah, I have a 1512 3D/1700 I was going to install w/4s but decided it might better suited to my 1/8 buggy. I want to stick w/3s to keep it a little lighter. I just ordered (3) 3s 40C's from Hobby CIty for 48.00 each. Can't beat that !

Something to remember is you will need to run atleast a 18t pinion when running a finned can Neu motor.

For a proper gear mesh I assume due to extra diameter of finnage ?

Thats correct Bondonutz.The fins prevent the use of a smaller pinion.

I'm running a Tekin 4030 1400kv the specs look a tad bigger than the castle 2650 motor and I have run a 14/54 with no problems.

Yea thats fine but I have a Neu 1515 in my 4x4 slash and its imposible to move the motor over towards the center with a smaller pinion.18t is the smallest I can use in mine.My Finned Neu motor is 1.73 inches in diameter the Tekin is 1.65 inches

Should bolt right up to the motor plate, you'll need a 5mm bore mod.8/32 pitch pinion of course.
Gear accordingly;
