I tried Google Chrome for a while, the only issue I had with it is opening attachments and downloading files. I don't know if I had a setting wrong but it was always a pain in the arse and it seemed to never download anything I tried to open... Any clue?

I am trying opera now, thanks for the suggestions. Does work faster than either FF or IE, slows a bit on multiple tabs, but i need to upgrade my ram from the 256 mb it currently has

Work because i gotta, play because i wanna

People here hate Nitro, I love it. I start it, run it about 50 ft from me and it dies, I go after it. Perfect exercise

Opera. Love the easy adjustments of the 'workbars', speed dial, mouse guestures, speed.

I have both IE and Chrome so I could see the difference and so far Chrome is faster and easier to use. Might try Opera too. Gotta love variety.

Can I use all my multi-tap options on my netbook with Opera? I like Chrome but the swipe to go back is very nice.

New Opera out: 10.51

I'm actually indifferent on this release. I've always been happy with Opera updates and never gave second thoughts about hitting the update button. Some things seem to have broken with this release. I don't know if its just me because I haven't found very many complaints online. For one, I can't open gmail or gmx mail. They claimed to have fixed and optimized some things in the engine, but it feels a tad slower than before. A lot of websites also don't load to full, gets stuck at n-1/n elements.

But anyway, for anyone that wants to give it a try, here are some of the more useful short-cuts that I use:
  • Back/Foward Mouse Shortcut: Press and hold right mouse button and click and release the left mouse button to go back. Vice-versa for forward.
  • If you accidentally close a tab, press "Ctrl+Z" to bring it back
  • If you accidentally close a window, theres a recycle bin of old windows/tabs you can bring them back
  • If you enjoy the dial-page, 'Ctrl+#' will get you to whichever dial page you have set at the #
  • You can save and restore sessions from the file menu. Its great for storing research sessions that you don't want to and don't really need to bookmark everything.
  • To switch between tabs, use 'Ctrl+Tab'. Works like Alt-Tab for windows
  • Can also switch between tabs by pressing and holding the right mouse button and scrolling your mouse wheel
  • Don't have to copy+paste web-addresses or terms to search, highlight+right-click and select the 'Go to Web Address' or 'Search'/'Search With' option

I think thats a decent starter list. What do you other Opera users use? I'm sure theres other features I forgot to list, or don't even know exists!

I've settled on Chrome after trying Opera Firefox and IE.
