Stupidity - 04.10.2010, 06:40 PM

Yea those people who end up oweing the IRS large sums of money have got to be stupid or trying to get away with something. My EX's mother owed the IRS over $150K and had to use one of those lawyers to get it reduced, but the reason for such a high debt was because she was running a daycare business out of their home for ten years and was not claiming it on their taxes. I think she pissed someone off so they reported her. Her husband is a Gov scientist and they were taking almost his entire paycheck for months trying to acquire that money back. I think the law requires them to leave like $300 for food or something silly like that. It was not pretty, but like stated some people just deserve a good @$$ kicking.

As long as you file every year and do your best to account for everything you make there is no reason for the IRS to bother anyone. Like someone has already said we have to keep our country/Gov running somehow. So paying taxes is not all that bad YET? With what Obama is doing now I fear that things are going to get much much worse.
