The associated RC18T is a pretty solid little truck. Can't speak for the new version with belt drive but the older one is pretty solid. Only upgrades to mine are rpm shock towers, front arms, and FT shocks all around; it has been running 5400kv motor like this for quite some time now with no drivetrain issues. It still gets hung up on bigger obstacles but handles pretty well for it's size and is stupid fast for it's size! On carpet it will pull standing back flips until I dialed up the punch control

losi let down? -
04.29.2010, 09:44 AM
Hi guys,I'm stirring up a bit of a rebellion on the losi site .It looks like losi were a nice company before being swallowed up by horrorzone hobbies.I can't remember if I've posted the mlst2 saga on here.Oh well,I ordered a mlst2(2.4Ghz) from a lhs, horrorzone sent out a mlst(27 Mhz) that didn't work.So it went back to the shop(80 mile round trip!) The guy in the shop would only give a credit note????? I managed to eventually get my cash back(don't ask) So a few months later I ordered 1from a different lhs, again they sent out a mlst.Horrorzone blamed the guy in the shop,I looked on the guys computer ,due to previous experience. He deffinatley used the right code!I think they didn't have any mlst2's in stock. Why not let the lhs know? I'd have waited.Horrorzone don't want to know when somethings not fit for purpose, mlst diffs! Try emailing them asking for an improved product(metal diff gears, they could be cast! no need for "expensive machining" ) Stand up for your trucks!!! ferrets unite!!

Hi guys,I've been slagging losi off for a bit.Broken parts after broken parts .But the suspension on the ml$t2's good, and I think you cna run lights off the aux port on the rx,they work if the trucks not running .AND they replied to some1 on the losi site .They won't reply to me .

I guess I'm just lucky. I have all of Losi's crawlers (1/24, 1/18, and 1/10 LCC) and haven't had a problem with any of them. I bought them each the day they came out and have put a good amount of rock time on them with no problems. The micro-DT has worked well for me also. I'm not loyal to any particular brand, I just haven't had any bad experiences yet with Losi personally.
Let me know if you plan on getting rid of any of them.
I will say that I do plan on offloading my LCC when the new Axial MOA XR10 becomes available. :-)

mlst? -
05.16.2010, 10:40 AM
Hi guys,My mini crawler's only bust a rear "diff".The micro T monster truck is good fun indoors. It's just the ml$t,it keeps letting me down.I fitted a roll cage, with the exotec chassis a standard servo wouldn't fit .So I had to buy a low profile 1.Horizonhobby's atittude stinks! That's where the problem stems from.

I have always been a Kyosho, Associated, and Traxxas person, but in the last couple years I have bought quite a few Losi products, which have all performed flawlessly. I currently own and run the following Losi Vehicles;
Losi Mini Rock-Crawler (x2)
Losi Mini-T (x3)
Losi Micro-T (x2)
Losi Micro Desert truck (x1) (converted to Team BlueGroove Buggy)
And soon a Losi Ten-T

Atomic mods? -
05.18.2010, 09:51 AM
Hi guys,I emailed atomicmods about metal diffs. They emailed back saying the ml$t2's diffs are metal.Has the shop I got it from swapped the "metal" diffs for some crappy 1's? Mine have plastic spider gears abd a plastic "cup" that doesn't hold the spider gears in.Thinking about it ,all the ml$t diff posts state the same.I'm confused! Or are atomic botty talking?
