The tires were indeed TRC - I had some myself and remember racing Brian and Jeremy from Bombproof with those very trucks (twice in fact - going back quite a few years). The 2nd time it was against their HB Lightning based trucks - these didn't have a chance against my gorillamaxx, though - they pushed like dumptrucks through the corners and they were not really too competitive. Jamie from StarluckRC was at the same race. These races were before Lipos hit the scene. The TRC tires were very similar to a Bow-tie, but were a bit harder and didn't balloon much at all(they were ahead of their time in that they were ribbed inside to prevent ballooning).

WAAAY too much side wall for me though Alien. They will collapse in the turns like mad.

Interesting stuff Mike... I thought they were really nice designs for the time too... only wish I could find some old stock...

Yeah.... true, but I won't be running them in competition... So, they might not be that bad.

Hmmm... look at what I just found on ebay Trinity TRC... I totally forgot about the brand name 'Trinity'... looks like a nice deal for 4 tyres...
