I ran 5S zippies on the Castle 2200 and it seemed to be ok, but it didnt get much use and I've been afraid of zippies after that first incident. I just run what I know works and I dont have any issues. I really like the idea of 6S with the 2200 motor geared down to keep temps under control, but all my MMM are out of warranty now so I dont want to risk it.
I've had some turnigys and pretty much most of them have puffed after sitting around without being used for a while. The turnigys are beefier than the zippies so that might be why people have better luck.
Luckily none of the zippies really fit the emaxx 3905 or the previous version emaxxes. They are all too wide. In general though, Its also not easy finding a quality lipo for a 6S setup on an emaxx as those trays were all designed to run 8 cells of nimh and arent wide enough or deep enough to accomodate most 3S lipos. The E-Revos have the 50mm wide tray, 30mm deep which makes plenty of room for all of the cheapie and nicer packs.
