Badlands is the way to go, stretched over rulux wheels and glued on the inner bead. Coolest wheels IMO for both truggies and revo/maxx MT's.

Thomas - They re-did the Badlands, They are now 3.7" ID.

EDIT:
They fit the Traxxas wheels now LAME~! I thought they would fit the LPR style wheels. WTF is with that?

I do believe they are coming out with a non Traxxas style bead on the Badlands. I remember getting an e-mail a few months back from Proline.

Now, I need your input on what needs to go into this truck.

Here's what I'm thinking. I have a pair of fastlane machine Hybrid bulks. Gonna need some tough gears for this one.

I'm thinking really hard about going with a Castle Mamba XL esc for power handling. Then power it with a pair of 4S 5000mah packs.

This chassis will accept them for some 8S fun!

The spinning toaster shall be a Castle 1717 that I've been saving.

Plans are to use Mod 1 gears for toughness.

I have some purple RPM arms that would be well suited for this truck.

We need some cvd's.

We need some bullet proof shock towers.

I also have a feeling the stock 14mm hexes just won't be enough.

What wheels and tires do we need for the bashing?

Join in here guys. I'll post pictures as things progress.

Your input is appreciated.
What?? no outrunner?

Work because i gotta, play because i wanna

People here hate Nitro, I love it. I start it, run it about 50 ft from me and it dies, I go after it. Perfect exercise

LOL

Don't tempt me!

The thing about it is, I seen Bondo build a really nice truck using a 1717. He posted a video demonstrating it's power.

I do believe the 1717 is an awesome powerhouse, from what I seen.

oh really?

How does it run Harold?

I've had a 1717 sitting on my shelf for a long time. Brand new, never mounted.

I'm really itching to try it out.

Everything I've seen points toward it being a pretty good powerhouse.

I hear ya, I have 3 sitting there waiting to be used as well.

But, you may want to reconsider something else other than the Mamba XL. I purchased 3 brand new to run a Neu 1527 motor and she puffed up on plug in. So, I had sent all three to Castle (two of which had never been used). Maybe you may have better luck with the new revision...

I would definitely recommend the RCM CD as well. Stock tranny suck Ballz, even with the upgraded metal gears, bearings, metal case. The CD is much better, as you would have less play.

The new revision is supposed to have those issues taken care of.

I'm still waiting on some feedback.

Castle fixed the damaged Mamba XL and upgraded the other 2 free.
