My guess is that based on the price of the MM the MMM will $250-300, probably closer to $300. But it should be comparable to Lehner/Neu motors and Quark/MGM ESCs that cost a lot more.

SH Z-Car, Custom Crawler, 8s Savage, 12s XTM XLB 1/7 buggy, 4wd 4-link rear/IFS Pro4 truck, Custom Hyper 10 Short Course, Belt-Drive Mammoth ST 1/8 truggy, 4s 17.5 MM Pro HPI Blitz

Gustav uses this method. So it is his idea.
That works most of the time and has been the way I have always configured my trucks. Technically throttle is channel 1, steering ch2 and brake ch3 :027:
The thing about the HV is that it arms when you put the throttle to full brake so with the nuetral position set to full brake, it arms automagically.
If you change the epa for ch1 to 0% for reverse, it still auto arms but does not help the random problem I mentioned before (WOT). The HV is a great esc, I just wish it was pistal tx friendly.

I like castle products but am disappointed that the MMM will only handle 16 cells. I even tried the Barracuda 125, because it should be able to handle 6S, but fried it on one run using 6S geared moderately.

I think I'll wait to hear from others before buying any other Castle controllers for my truck :005:

For now, the Quark 125B is working great.

I always thought the channel 1 was steering. That is the slot I plug the steering servo in. Channel 2 or slot 2 for esc.
If you got the epa set on the channel to zero that mean when you push it in brake or reverse. The esc should have the same signal as netrul.

That would be nice.

Are the heatsinks a one piece extrusion on this then, running through the contoller? looks like it must be since the heatsinks are on the sides, not top and bottom like the MGMs.

Were did you get that picture from Captain? I went to Castles site and they didn't look the same. Is there a difference? It appears as though maybe the green heatsink one is an older model and the one on there site now is a newer one??

it's only the heatsink colour squee. Towers uses the green heatsink on their site.

Yep, its from TowerHobbies.
I also spoke to Castle Creations about a car version of this lovely demon, but they turned me down, eventually.

O'God Pleeeeaaase let them do it.

CHC, you are absolutely correct. Sorry, I guess I shouldn't try to be technical that late at night :005:

The HV fits my needs perfectly since I only use my esc's as foward only.

Serum,
I recently got the castle Link and updated the software on the HV esc but haven't used it since I updated the software. I will test this out on my project truck and see if its fixed. If the issue has been fixed, this esc may be the ticket for my higher volatage applications :017:
