I can't believe how much room is on the chassis. You can almost fit a whole 'nother ESC on it, if not two of them.
Nice clean set up. I am curious to see what kind of run times you get with the 3700 Apache's.

truck looks nice and clean. so is that the 1512 2y then? is so I am interested in seeing how it performs in the truggy. I was going to pick up that motor for my 8 and also try in the 8t but ended up getting the 3d (1700kv) because I wasn't sure if the 1400kv motor would be enough. I haven't tried the 1700kv motor yet so I am not sure if I made the right choice or not.

1700kv works very well on 4s... and I bet it's awesome on 5s.
On 4s, gear it about 3.5:1 to 4:1 on the pinion/spur.... (I have been running mine at 52/14 and it runs really good there)

Wow, I really like the setup there! That thing is pretty big then?!
What is the estimated top speed?

GD, have you tried the 1512 in the truggy? Just wondering if it will handle the extra weight or if I should get a 1515 for that and just run the 1512 in the buggy.
thanks

Nah, I don't think so.
Nice Jammin you got there!
The name is Alawi. You can call me Al.

My 1700 is the 1515... but I'm positive that a 1512 will do just fine esp a lower kv wind like that.
Maybe a 2600kv 1512 would not be the best, but a 1400kv should be money.
I still have not run the 1512 in a truggy.... but I don't see much difference between the 1512 and 1515 in my buggy.

So that's what Mike's been up to. I'm trying to bribe him to get something done for me first :005: - also a Jammin' conversion.
By the way, very nice conversion. With 5S on one side, how's the left/right balance of the truck ? Any issues?

Thanks for all the comments - actually the weight is almost exactly the same as the conversion Mike has done on his losi-8T - he is running 5000 4S and me with 3700 5S - the weights are about 6 oz different - (mine heavier) total is 9.6lbs without body - Mike and i ran it last night and it goes quite well - it will even flip over with too much throttle (on the road) - absolutely no shortage of power - its set up for 35 ish for racing - SJCROSS - let me know if you remember where you saw the supermaxx:005: , Joeling - i havent run it on the track yet ( this sunday ) it seems not too bad on the balance though, Jollyjumper the design is mikes design, but i changed some stuff on it - ( rotated the motor up 30 degrees to make clearance for the speed controller ( which is recessed into the 7075 chassis to help get rid of the heat ). Thanks for the encouragement there Dafanapolis - Captain - I thought papa sold his emaxx last year, but i dont remember exactly what it looked like. It ran so good that i didnt want to hit the cnc machine last night - thats saying a lot...
Hows that "Hope and Change" working out for Ya???

You wanted to do injury to your CNC machine when your vehicle runs crap? using a certain device to hit it?
I noticed the 30 degree on the motormount, what do you do to support the motor? i like it when the motor is flush on the bottom of the chassis/motorplate. it makes a nice support.
