The body is awesome. Any asking price? Also, just curious how the progress is on the hellfires and would maybe be interested in the future of doing the same. Any kits out yet for converting?

Progress is slow as I'm not in any big rush. I'm currently in the process of tearing it down, cleaning everything, and replacing any needed parts. However, it's slow going since I have to wait for the parts to come in each time. It looks like the F/R diffs need to be rebuilt. I was going to simply get a whole diff from an eBay chopshop, but it looks like all they have are rebuild kits. Poo.

I'll probably end up "machining" (read: hacksawing and dremeling) my own mount. Thinking of using 6s lipo and a Neu 1515 1.5y for great runtimes and would also require less beefy (and expensive) batteries. Just gotta find a suitable ESC.

Actually, I was hoping for an ESC with ~160A at 32 cell (8s) rating in case I decide to go with even higher voltage than 6s.

Serum: Well, I plan on going with 6s, but it would be nice to have the capability to go higher in the future if I wanted.

hippie: Yeah, the ring and pinion show decent wear. It will probably be ok for a while still, but figured I might as well take care of it now that it's all apart. And the drive cups show wear from the dogbones pin as well.

brian i recomend replacing the diffs with savage alu diffs (12 bucks per cup and it comes with screws) because my friend blew out 1 rear diff and RCCA blew out the rear one on there test drive.

There are several Savage models - do they all use the same size diff cup? I was thinking of picking up a savage diff instead, but I'd still need the hellfire ring and pinion to get a lower gear ratio.

i am not sure what model it is but i think they are all the same size the only mod would be to use a different helfire bearing on the diff instead of the savage bearing. this is the one that fits i think

Brian try the ebay auctions also not just the chop shops. Sometimes you can get good deals there also.
