Yes that motor I linked to mount's to where any 540/550 motor would. It is just longer than a 550 motor.

Excellent news. I'm placing an order for one today.

Thanks

Interesting, looking at the chassis it seems symetrical (front/rear) more or less. I would bet that if you could find another rear gearbox/axle assembly, it could be mounted in the front of the truck, then you would just connect up the steering knuckles from the original to get 4x4 drive. Any chance of a few shots with the wheels off to confirm my theory?

pick up a tekin rebel 2 and an integy lathe motor or 2, and you can keep your tires. it's a pretty inexpensive system to boot. that's what i've got in my clod (well, i have an old tekin titan, but still...) and it works great... for a brushed system... :005:

i'm with you on not wanting to go brushless in my crawler...right now it'll handle just about anything with no breaking parts. it won't be so lucky with all the torque of a brushless crawling system...

Xray XT8 (Neu powered) MMM on 5s
MD 500 scale heli - castle HV-45 on 3s
Eflite Blade 400 heli on 3s
