8.5, that is LIGHT.... You don't have got a reason to think it's heavy.

I wish i had mine to 9.5lbs. 8.5 would be better though. Not sure how you did it.

Peace!

Mine will be rather heavy as well. The step to lipoly's would lighten my truck I thought i bought llight products, but i guess it won't turn out as nice as i hoped it would..

That XL3100/12 cells is a sweet combo indeed, i only hear good stories about it. being light, nimble, fast..I think i will buy me that XL3100, or a 1940 that gives about the same kv-range.. To drive around with 12/14 cells.. (all in the name of science...)

Rene, do you have something like a National Science Found supporting you? Please hook me up :L: I never managed to guide some University money into RC (not directly anyway ;) )

Profession: RC researcher!?

You're thinking of the 3310 on 12 cells for your Maxx?

Yeah, for my maxx! I just ordered some parts from Mike, including the single speed conversion..

Though i have got a bulletproof drivetrain (in my maxx that is..) so throwing in a heavy duty setup crossed my mind too.. Thats the beauty of science.. I think you need an eagletree data recorder as well for this experiment, can someone convince my girl?

(the funds i got is called 'rich girlfriend..' (kidding...))

Data recorder...?! Yeah, I like people who take it seriuos. Understanding leads to Progress. Do you need a test driver?

oh gosh, Rene, I must have something like this. With real thermo-couple sensors .... no more fuzzy IR readings.
This will be something for the research lab!

I think I have seen this goodie in a mag somewhere.

You probably have! It has been out for at least a year now (I think). Great product! Seems a little expensive though...

It ain't cheap, but it is a normal price. They invested some time in developing that little thing, among with it's software. it is an decent price if you ask me
